At Lee’s Summit Dermatology Associates we treat a lot of warts!  Treating warts is very challenging and no therapy has been shown to be 100% successful.  A combination of therapies is usually effective. 

Warts are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection in the skin.  Warts are single or multiple, thin or raised, and big or small.  Eventually, common warts go away on their own.  Over-the-counter treatment with salicylic acid is the most common treatment.  More recently, other over-the-counter therapies have become available.

After a careful medical history and evaluation of the wart(s), an individualized treatment plan is created.  At Lee’s Summit Dermatology Associates, we are committed to helping you in your quest to get rid of those pesky and frustrating warts in a safe manner.  Both traditional and non-traditional therapies are employed based on careful clinical analysis.
