Dr. McEwen is a graduate of the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine. His graduation was followed by a commission in the United States Navy and a Family Practice Internship at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. This was followed by several years of general practice. His dermatology training at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California, was completed in 1996. He practiced general dermatology for several years at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital in Chicago. In 1998, he resigned his commission and relocated to the Kansas City Area to enter private practice in North Kansas City. In 2000, he started his own practice now called Lee’s Summit Dermatology Associates.
