Precancerous Spots

Precancer SpotsPrecancerous growths on sun-exposed skin areas are referred to as actinic keratoses. These growths are scaly or crusty and vary in appearance and size. A small percentage of these lesions may grow to become squamous cell carcinoma. We offer the latest proven treatments for actinic keratoses with the goal of preventing skin cancer.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is used to treat a number of diseases and disorders, especially skin conditions such as warts, moles, skin tags and solar keratoses. Liquid nitrogen is usually used to freeze the tissues at the cellular level. This procedure is frequently used because it is highly effective and carries few side effects.> More info

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a medical treatment that uses a photosensitizing drug (a drug that becomes activated by light exposure) and a light source to activate the applied drug. The result is an activated oxygen molecule that can destroy nearby cells. Precancerous cells and certain types of cancer cells can be treated with PDT. > More info
